Super Dave Osborne

Super Dave Osborne was the naive and always optimistic stuntman played by Bob Einstein. You may recognized Einstein as Marty Funkhouser from Curb Your Enthusiasm, but in the 80s he was the Super One whose stunts would go spectacularly and hilariously wrong.

Always accompanied by his assistant stunt coordinator Fuji Hakayito and with announcer Mike Walden covering the action, The Super Dave Osborne show was all about the anticipation of Dave’s latest outrageous daredevil stunt. Reminiscent of Evel Knievel, Dave would give a big thumbs up and detail the upcoming trick with Walden. Then (and always) something would go disastrously awry, resulting in an Dave being squished, squashed, blown up or whatever other bodily injury you can think of.
