Nostalgia Re-Born: Ecto Cooler Officially Returning

Well it is official, Coca-Cola is bringing back Ecto Cooler, the Real Ghostbusters-themed Hi-C flavor much to the excitement of overweight 30 somethings. Hi-C Ecto Cooler will be sold in 10-packs of 6-ounce juice boxes and in 6- and 12-packs of 11.5- oz. aluminum cans. The cans, which will be available in select locations including major online retailers, feature thermal ink printing technology that turns an eerie shade of slime green when chilled. This is the best Hi-C news we’ve heard since back in September when some brewery in Pennsylvania announced they were making an Ecto Cooler beer. Advertisements

Wayne Gretzky for Pro Stars Cereal

Well yesterday was international cereal day (apparently that’s a thing now) so I figured why not take a look back on a commercial for the greatest cereal ever made: Pro Stars Cereal. How do I know it was the greatest cereal ever? Well, Wayne Gretzky was on the box and he is The Great One, so ipso facto Greatest. Cereal. Ever. Wayne claimed it was great for a athlete’s diet and even breaks down the ounces of cereal to milk ratio which was odd. I just poor my cereal into a giant salad bowl and eat until I hate myself, ya know, like everyone does. The fact that they really felt the need to point out several times that there is no added sugar makes me think there was probably a lot of added sugar. But as the old saying goes “sugar make thing gooder now”. So happy belated cereal day everyone! Enjoy.

I see what you did there: Unmasked Icons

This is a series of photos on Facebook by Design Overall titled UNMASKED ICONS with illustrations by Alex Solis. I once unmasked someone and exposed them to the world….well, I actually just ripped the sunglasses off a guy who had extreme sensitivity to light. He was pretty mad at me but in my defense, I thought he was a super-villain. I mean, he was covering his face and had this inhaler so he clearly was looking to poison the city with some kind of toxic gas. He claimed it was for his asthma, but I wasn’t buying it. Props to my buddy Jon for pointing these pictures out to me. Enjoy!

Whoomp There It Is: Crystal Pepsi is Coming Back!

OH MY GOD! I can’t even….words not coming…too excited! Okay, okay. I’m better now {clears throat}, apparently Crystal Pepsi will be hitting the shelves this July and HOLY SHIT I AM SO GODDAMN EXCITED! Fuck it, I can’t type, I’m too busy giving high fives to people in the coffee shop where I’m writing this post. They have NO idea what’s going on as I am inaudibly saying “The Pepsi….It’s Crystal again. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” And now I’m being asked to leave by some very kind police officers. Just watch the video below for more. Crystal Pepsi!

Cereal Killers: Breakfast Cereals Re-Imagined With Horror Movie Characters

This is a series (or serial if you will) is by artist Kate Willaert which features classic horror movie characters re-imagined as classic General Mills cereal mascots. The characters on the box really capture the original cereal box art but the catch phrases are what makes these awesome. I only wish I could buy these, unfortunately the cereal is as fake as the horror mascots on the boxes. Except the Jason, everyone knows that totally based on a true story. Enjoy!
