Do you know?: There are multiple versions of Do They Know It’s Christmas?

Do They Know It’s Christmas? is a song written by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in 1984 to raise money for relief of the 1983–85 famine in Ethiopia. I Want My MTV

Oh man, back in the 80s everyone wanted their MTV. They still do, but it’s not the same. It’s like when you get your first “friend with benefits”. So help me god!” Sorry, I can’t really remember where I was going with all this…oh yeah. Remember when MTV played music videos?
