Since the recent boom in popularity for 90s nostalgia, DuckTales has been a subject for conversation and parody. And why not parody it? DuckTales is one of the most iconic and best cartoons from that period. (opinion of course, but dare to argue?) The first parody I remember seeing was done by Fatal Farm some years ago… Then of course we have Scientifically Accurate DuckTales… College Humor’s DuckTales Theme Gone Horribly Wrong… And to finish us off, we have this one called DuckTape… Which one do you like the most?
He is our favourite lasagna cat who spent his days tormenting Odie and annoying his handler Jon Arbuckle, the creation of Jim Davis known as Garfield the cat. I never could understood why Garfield loved lasagna so much? I fed my cat lasagne once and he just puked and died….I don’t get it? But Garfield wasn’t my favourite character on the show. I could never get behind him because of his lack of respect towards Jon. All Jon wanted was to make a modest living as a cartoonist and settle down with a lucky lady. But after several disappointing dates with Dr. Liz, Jon and his nerdy demeanor could not recover. And from my perspective, it was all Garfield’s fault. After all Jon had a steady job, a house and a full head of hair, aka the Perfect Catch. But then again Jon did live a pretty boring lifestyle, as displayed in this re-enactment of the classic comic strip, video by Fatal Farm.
If it wasn’t for GI Joe public service announcements I may not have the common sense I do now. The video below, however, is a re-dubbed version which was a part of a series of early Youtube/Ebaums viral videos. The best part about this clip is that it’s nostalgic in 2 ways. It brings me back to my high school years of goofing off in computer class watching ebaums world and back to my early childhood of watching GI Joe.
Ahhh this intro is just as I remember. Maybe it’s been a while, but I don’t recall Webby ever being interested in older ducks?
