Every now and then you randomly get reminded of a show you had totally forgot existed. In most cases you can’t believe how much you remember about the show once you are reminded of it’s existence…this was not the case with Biker Mice From Mars. My brother was visiting me the other day and he asked if I had written a post on Biker Mice From Mars. Not only hadn’t I, I don’t think I had even thought about the show since it’s cancellation back in 1996. Here’s what Wikipedia has to say about the show: Biker Mice from Mars is a science fiction action animated series created by Rick Ungar that began airing in 1993, in the United States and lasted for three seasons before it was cancelled. It was composed by William Anderson. It follows three anthropomorphic mice motorcyclists named Throttle, Modo, and Vinnie who escape a war on their home planet Mars before arriving to defend the Earth from the evil that destroyed their homeland (the Plutarkians) and to one day return …
Or in this case I only remember the closing theme! I NEVER saw an episode of this show, but I still remember the closing theme song nearly word for word…or at least the last 15 seconds of it. This show was a lead in to another show I obviously watched a lot (a show I can’t recall now) as I watched the “outro” to Bots Master enough to pretty much memorize it. If you have any experience with this cartoon let me know. I’m not gonna watch it but it would be nice to know someone did as they clearly put a lot of effort into their closing theme song.
Yeah, I could do some research and tell you what this show was about but guess what Dean (Oh, I’m calling all of our readers Dean now, hope that’s cool), I don’t wanna! Like so many cartoons and shows from childhood, I only seem to remember the theme song to this show. I think this speaks volumes to how catchy theme songs were back in the day and why we should bring back the long-form theme song. I mean look at Game of Thrones, that theme song is like 8 minutes long and it’s awesome! But I digress. Knowing the theme song (or at least parts of it) pretty much tells you all you need to know about the show. I could explain more but my computer screen is running out of ink. Computers run on ink right? No? Oh shit. That explains why half of my screen has just turned completely black. Okay, well, while I figure out this mess, please enjoy Denver The Last Dinosaur showing you a world you never saw before.
I LOVED the movie Look Who’s Talking? So when TGIF decided to adapt the movie into a tv show I was all in! I was also about 7 or 8 years old and therefore pretty dumb. The premiss stayed about the same, there was a baby that somehow had the inner thoughts of a grown man (in the movie it was the voice of Bruce Willis and on the tv show it was Tony Danza). I’m not sure what they were gonna do in season 3 when the kid could actually talk but that’s neither here nor there. While I don’t remember much of anything about this show (not even that in the second season the dad was replaced by George Clooney) I do vividly remember the opening credits and song. To this day I still sing the theme song randomly in my head. To be honest I couldn’t even remember the show’s name but I remembered the theme song word for word. So for that I say…Thank you??
