In honor of the 30th anniversary of the original Metroid game for the NES, this is a video of teens playing Super Metroid for the SNES. So they are celebrating the 1986 game by playing the 1994 version on a completely different console? Makes sense to me. As always these videos are pretty good, but the kids this one aren’t half as annoying as they usually are. Although there is a very real moment where the blonde girl reveals what is likely a bout with depression around the 2:50 mark… Enjoy!
This crazy cover band gives us a double dip of Nostalgia. First, Mac Sabbath is a band that performs in complete McDonald’s character costumes (albeit evil versions) featuring childhood faves: Ronald McDonald (lead vocals), Grimace (bass), Mayor McCheese (guitar) and The Hamburglar (drums). Second, they do covers of Black Sabbath with lyrics to relate them to McDonalds. I actually thought this would get old pretty fast but ended up watching the entire 5 minute video much to my delight. I hope as a response The Burger King Kids Club comes out with an early 90s hip hop band.
Many famous actors had several acting jobs in commercials, television and film before they make it big. Not me, I won an Oscar in my first film right out of the gate! What film was I in you say? Ah…Hey look! It’s Mila Kunis as a 12 year old in some weird kids commercial!
Despite being a child of the 90s, I was grew up on great 80s cartoons thanks to my two old brothers and television reruns. Cartoons of the 80s/early 90s was an era of great storytelling and serious lessons/themes being taught in each episode. Now-a-days…don’t get me started. Let’s see how many of these you forgot about… C.O.P.S. THE RACCOONS HULK HOGAN’S ROCK N’ WRESTLING FRAGGLE ROCK: THE ANIMATED SHOW HEATHCLIFF AND THE CATILLAC CATS
Now that we are grown up, have jobs and maybe even careers, summer just isn’t what it used to be. I remember a time when I would have 2 full months to do whatever the hell I wanted, which included sleeping in, staying up late, playing lots of video games in my friend’s basements and playing with all of these… RUNNING THROUGH A SPRINKLER DRAWING WITH SIDEWALK CHALK PRETENDING TO BE GOOD AT JUMPROPE COOLING DOWN IN THE KIDDIE POOL TAKING A DRIVE DOWN THE SIDEWALK WISHING I OWNED A PAIR OF MOON SHOES WATER WARS WITH MY FRIENDS SHOWING OFF MY ANTI-SKIP DISCMAN and LOVING SPARKLERS EVEN THOUGH I WAS AFRAID OF HOLDING ONE
