Goddamn I love Richard Cheese. The simplicity and elegance of each of his covers are nothing short of brilliant. If you have never heard of Richard Cheese, he is a singer who takes popular songs (usually from harder genres such as alternative rock or metal) and re-works them into insanely lovable and catchy lounge versions. Please take a moment (most songs are about 2 and a half mins) to enjoy a few of his catchy renditions of some…I dunno….great? Alternative songs. Limp Bizkit – Nookie/Break Stuff My favourite part: about the 1:53 min mark the slowed down part where Richard Cheese does a catchy lounge rendition of Fred Durst’s “we’ve all felt like shit” breakdown in the song. Hilarious. Nirvana – Rape Me My favourite part: At the 5 second mark “Here’s one for the ladies…” System of a Down – Chop Suey! My favourite part: about the 44 second mark “why’d you leave the keys upon the table?”
