This crazy cover band gives us a double dip of Nostalgia. First, Mac Sabbath is a band that performs in complete McDonald’s character costumes (albeit evil versions) featuring childhood faves: Ronald McDonald (lead vocals), Grimace (bass), Mayor McCheese (guitar) and The Hamburglar (drums). Second, they do covers of Black Sabbath with lyrics to relate them to McDonalds. I actually thought this would get old pretty fast but ended up watching the entire 5 minute video much to my delight. I hope as a response The Burger King Kids Club comes out with an early 90s hip hop band.
As kid from the 80s/90s, McDonald’s was the happiest place on earth. At McDonald’s you got to eat the best food ever and get an awesome toy for FREE! I was more of a 90s kid myself, but I got lots of hand-me-down toys from my older brothers. A lot of which were from McDonald’s Happy Meals. Here are some of the best that I recall… HALLOWEEN PAILS STOMPERS 4X4 TRUCKS BARENSTAIN BEARS MCDONALD’S RACE CARS DUCKTALES GARFIELD MCNUGGET BUDDIES FRAGGLE ROCK CARS
The way the games is supposed to end: One player buys up enough real estate to bankrupt all other players. How it really ends: Your younger brother* says “this is stupid, I’m bored” 1 hour into playing and quits. *Younger brother can be substituted with another sibling and/or friend and quitting can also include rage which results in an act of aggression such as flipping the game board and storming off. In honor of this game most of us have played but few have won and/or finished, here are some fun facts: – The longest game of Monopoly lasted 70 days. – Marvin Gardens doesn’t exist. Marven Gardens is real, but there’s a typo on the board that never got fixed. – The game’s mascot used to be named Rich Uncle Pennybags but it was then changed to Mr. Monopoly (makes sense to me). – More than 275 million games have been sold worldwide and it’s available in 111 countries, in 43 languages. – Since 1935 more than 1 billion people have played the game …
Dear McDonald’s, can you make a commercial that addresses all of my hobbies including: eating HOT fries, dressing up and dressing down (it must be both!), doing karate, playing my keytar, playing hacky sack, ballet (kicking so high!), juggling and having a dreamy guy sit beside me and my friend while we are having “girl talk”? Oh. You did already. Well thank you.
Ronald McDonald himself raised these McNugget Buddies to be loyal and caring friends that we could dress up any way we like…until we mass murder them all by dipping them into our favourite sauce and biting their heads off. I used to prefer honey but I gotta say I am a sweet and sour guy now.
