Doug Funnie Rapping Ice Cube’s ‘Today Was A Good Day’

And the hits just keep coming! Well, in this case, not so much a hit as a song that Ice Cube performs. Anywho, YouTuber isthishowyougoviral is at it again with another rap/childhood cartoon mashup! If he keeps pumping these out, I might have to just cement him with a weekly write up.  This newest video features 90s cartoon Doug Funnie performing the aforementioned Ice Cube’s song ‘Today Was A Good Day’. I must admit, I wasn’t a big Doug guy growing up, although his theme song is forever ingrained in my head. But I can get on board with this version of Doug. Hell, I might even pay admission. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Enjoy! also, have you ever noticed how if Macklemore was green he’d look just like Roger?

’90s Nicktoons Assembling for ‘Avengers’-Style Team-Up Movie

News has broke that Paramount is planning a classic Nicktoons team-up film. ONLY ’90S KIDS WILL GET THIS LIST of series already said to be involved in this “Avengers-esque team-up”: Rugrats, Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold!, Rocko’s Modern Life, and Ren and Stimpy. More cartoons are set to be added and I am pretty optimistic that this could actually be an awesome movie. As good as Kazaam starring Shaq? Only time will tell.

Who Remembers Vitamin C?

Often when someone talks about Vitamin C, they are referring to the actual vitamin found in Orange Juice and other fruits. But, today we are referring to the 90s singer who was a glorified one-hit-wonder. Once gracing the list of Maxim’s Hot 100 Women of 2001 (she was #76), Vitamin C had what looked to be a promising music career after her self-titled 1999 album was a runaway success. After all, who didn’t have her song Graduation played at their graduation. She released a follow up album in 2001 (entitled More), but didn’t reach the success of her previous. During her time at the top, Vitamin C appeared in various films, TV shows and was even a judge of WB’s SuperStar (a knock off/mock of American Idol). Since her 15 minutes of fame, she has stayed relevant behind the scenes of music, writing some hits for pop stars and in 2012 became the Vice President of Music at Nickelodeon. I guess she still has sometime to Smile about…

How Old Would Cartoon Characters Be Today?

It’s hard to believe that Spongebob Squarepants would be 28 years old, but it’s true. Thanks to BuzzFeed for bringing this to life last year, but damn, some of my childhood favorites are getting really old. DARIA WOULD BE 32 DOUG WOULD BE 34 ARNOLD WOULD BE 27 TOMMY PICKLES WOULD BE 23 GEORGE JETSON WOULD BE DEAD…I MEAN 92 AND DAUGHTER JUDY WOULD BE 67 SAILOR MOON WOULD BE 37 PENNY FROM INSPECTOR GADGET WOULD BE 41

95 Seconds of 90s

Let’s be honest, television now-a-days is so much superior than it ever was. Our dramas from HBO, Showtime, AMC are untouched. Sitcoms like 30 Rock, Community and Parks and Rec will live on for years in syndication. Cartoons….okay they aren’t anywhere close to what we had in the 80s. But with that all said, I still have an extreme soft spot for 90s television. This was my generation, my childhood, my TV. The 90s were the golden years to be a kid, and this video shows you exactly why…
