Graphic designer Mark Kenny has come up with some pretty great cross-over art featuring current NBA logos with a classic video game makeover. These logos are so cool it makes me really want to watch some NBA games…but then I realize these logos are fan art…and basketball is boring… Enjoy! Advertisements
This video is a basic Pac-Man level recreated in real life. Some guy runs around trying to avoid ghost and win the game, you know how it works. Although in this version there seems to be a little more swearing then I remember in the original Pac-Man. Oh and I don’t recall the ghosts beating the shit out of Pac-Man with bats…I guess it was just a different time in society. Enjoy!
Here is a video of Chad Neidt playing a 1 minute acoustic melody of 16 different classic video games. Personally I would have loved a little more time on on each song but you kids have fried your brains so much on game boys and Boy George records that it’s near impossible to keep your attention for more than a minute. I bet you didn’t even read this whole article did you? Nope, right to the video. Well for those of your who slugged it out to the end, here is theplaylist in order: 1. PacMan 2. Super Mario Bros. 3. The Legend of Zelda 4. Tetris — Theme A 5. Street Fighter II — Guile Theme 6. Super Metroid — Prologue 7. Sonic 2 — Chemical Plant Zone 8. Donkey Kong Country 9. Pokemon 10. Crash Bandicoot 11. Metal Gear Solid 12. Final Fantasy — “Those Who Fight Further” 13. Halo 14. Portal — Still Alive 15. Skyrim 16. Red Dead Redemption — Far Away
Here is some art from the series ‘Ghost in the machine’ by artist Erica Iris. I’ll be more impressed if someone can do this with a PS3 controller…ya know, cause they are cordless. Here are a couple more pics.
Check out this fan made movie trailer. Or teaser. Or scene. I don’t know. What I do know is it is pretty fun and makes me realize that 6 minutes of Pac-Man is all I would want to see in movie form. Also I thought the way they do the credits at the end were pretty cool. Enjoy.
