If you are like me, you are a raging alcoholic and should seek help immediately. Also, you didn’t know that some of Disney’s most famous cartoons were actually developed by using scenes with real actors. I know what you are thinking, “Ben, have you been drinking?” and the answer is: Of course I have! I just told you I’m an alcoholic! But apperently this was a real thing. It’s called Rotoscoping and it’s when animators trace the frames of live action film footage to make realistic animations. I choose to interpret that as animators are all hacks who have to trace things. But seriously it’s pretty cool, here are some examples of how they did it. There is no photo evidence that Disney dressed a fox and a bear up as Robin Hood and Little John, but how else would the animators know how to draw that? Enjoy! Advertisements
I’m nostalgic and terrified all at the same time! This is a collection of Disney movie posters by artist Andrew Taruson redone in the style of Tim Burton. The posters are beautiful and capture the essence of Burton perfectly but if I have to look at the Dumbo poster one more time, I don’t think I will sleep for a week. Enjoy!
Folks @AK47_studios/Instagram. has done it again! This time they are back with NFL/Disney Logo Mash-Up! If you need more explaining than that, well then I guess I didn’t do my job very well. Enjoy the Mash-Up! The Lion King/Detroit Lions The Little Mermaid/Miami Dolphins Finding Nemo/San Francisco 49ers Beauty and the Beast/St. Louis Rams Toy Story/Dallas Cowboys Pirates of the Caribbean/Oakland Raiders Snow White/Pittsburgh Steelers The Lion King/Denver Broncos Goofy/Minnesota Vikings Lilo and Stitch/Carolina Panthers Hercules/Tennessee Titans Aladdin/New Orleans Saints Peter Pan/Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pinocchio/Washington Mulan/San Diego Chargers Sleeping Beauty/Baltimore Ravens
If Disney stayed true to these stories they would never be allowed to leave the Disney Vault! That said, I really hope to see these alternate endings on the new Blu-Ray DVDs coming soon! Sorry I ruined your childhood with this.
I think it might look a little bit like this: Of course we know this would never happen as ugly people always lose out to good looking people. Unless you are Steve Buscemi. That guy is unstoppable!
