Dinosaurs had a really depressing ending

Dinosaurs by Jim Henson was one of my favorite 90s TV shows. I recently watched a few episodes as an adult and felt that the show was almost even better as an adult than when I was child. It’s filled with tons of inside humor and historical references that the younger me wouldn’t have picked up on. While I loved the show and it’s characters, I don’t know if I ever watched it from start to finish. I defiantly have never seen the series finale which ended it’s four season run. Episode 407 Changing Nature unfortunately is no where to be found on YouTube. But there are a lot of articles and talk about it’s depressing and shocking ending…keep in mind it was a family friendly program. The episode was so different that it came with a viewer advisory stating that “it might not be appropriate for younger viewers.” “In the show’s final episode, Earl causes the extinction of the Dinosaur species, when at the prodding of Richfield and the WESAYSO Corporation, he poisons all …

I only remember the theme song: Baby Talk

I LOVED the movie Look Who’s Talking? So when TGIF decided to adapt the movie into a tv show I was all in! I was also about 7 or 8 years old and therefore pretty dumb. The premiss stayed about the same, there was a baby that somehow had the inner thoughts of a grown man (in the movie it was the voice of Bruce Willis and on the tv show it was Tony Danza). I’m not sure what they were gonna do in season 3 when the kid could actually talk but that’s neither here nor there. While I don’t remember much of anything about this show (not even that in the second season the dad was replaced by George Clooney) I do vividly remember the opening credits and song. To this day I still sing the theme song randomly in my head. To be honest I couldn’t even remember the show’s name but I remembered the theme song word for word. So for that I say…Thank you??

Lovin’ Lakin

As many of our long time readers would know (we’re talking readers that date all the way back to April 2013,) one of my biggest childhood crushes was Al from the TV show Home Improvement….I mean Step by Step. Wow, it got really weird there for a second. If you would like to see my list of childhood crushes (and you know you do) click here. Anyway, Al was played by Christine Lakin and for years I have been waiting for her to come back into my life, either by television, internet or abduction. Turns out internet was the winner, narrowly beating out abduction. And we are talking real narrow. Like I had the route planned, van rented, fake Mexican passports, the whole deal. So how is Christine Lakin back in my life? Well if you wait a Goddamn second I’ll tell you. Man you are pushy today. Christine Lakin is back with a new internet show called “Lovin’ Lakin” and it is pretty good. My favourite episode so far is episode 4 when Lakin …

95 Seconds of 90s

Let’s be honest, television now-a-days is so much superior than it ever was. Our dramas from HBO, Showtime, AMC are untouched. Sitcoms like 30 Rock, Community and Parks and Rec will live on for years in syndication. Cartoons….okay they aren’t anywhere close to what we had in the 80s. But with that all said, I still have an extreme soft spot for 90s television. This was my generation, my childhood, my TV. The 90s were the golden years to be a kid, and this video shows you exactly why…

T.G.I.F. Teaser

The TV line up that brought us such classics as Family Matters, Boy Meets World, Full House, Perfect Strangers and a bunch of others. But one of the best parts of TGIF was the little teaser intros they would have before each episode to set up the show. This one features a cast of probably the most famous show to be on TGIF:  Just the 10 of Us. Quick rhyme off your Top 10 Just the 10 of Us moments, go! So hard right? Cause there are SOOOOOOO many great moments. Well our love for Just the 10 of Us (or J.T.10.U. as most of us diehard fans call it) aside, enjoy this TGIF teaser intro. I’m off to stare at my Just the 10 of Us poster signed by actress Jamie Luner!
