Happy 2017! All these things are now 10 years old

Happy 2017 everyone! It’s crazy to think that 2007 is now 10 years ago! Sorry, not crazy, mathematically accurate. So why don’t we all Crank That (Soulja Boy) and take a look back on things that are now 10 years old. Sound good? Kay. As mentioned above, Soulja Boy was ripping up the charts in 2007 but the power house songs of the year belonged to Beyonce with “Irreplaceable“, Rihanna feat. Jay-Z with “Umbrella“, Gwen Stefani feat. Akon with “Sweet Escape” and Fergie…yes Fergie with Big “Girls Don’t Cry“.   That’s right folks! The iPhone is now 10 years old. The phone that ended the use of phones.   J.K. Rowling released the 7th and final Harry Potter book. The book sold 8.3 million copies in it’s first 24 hours. I just waited for the movie. Reading is for suckers and smart people!   Yep, the movie about a Spartan king and 300 of his closest gym bros came out 10 years ago. Underrated Christmas Movies

It’s that time of year again, Kwanzaa time! And how do we celebrate this great season? By talking about Christmas movies of course! In this post I am going to throw a few underrated Christmas movies at you that don’t get the praise/constant re-runs during the holiday season that they deserve. So without further delay, on Dasher, Dancer and Vixen! (they are the only reindeer that appreciate these movie picks) Mickey’s Christmas Carol This is one of my all time favourite Christmas movies. Like Home Alone this is a movie I need to watch every Christmas season…and I do…and I like it… The story is a re-imagining of the classic A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Released in 1983, the movie still holds up today and if I am not mistaken is the introduction of Scrooge McDuck who would later go on to star in another classic from childhood, Duck Tales. This used to be a staple on the Wonderful World of Disney during December but it’s been years…
